The United states government put enourmous pressure on India to contract with Exxon to build a dam and hydro electric source in Kerala.
As usual, nothing went right. The electricity generated was so expensive no one could afford to use it.
But the contract called for Kerala to buy a certain amount of electricity at that price.
The US made sure they paid.
When Exxon folded the dam became the property of one of our "American" corporations.
I think it was GE or Westinghouse.
So it's onlt fair for other governments to screw the American taxpayer in the same way.
