America's defense budget is now larger in inflation-adjusted dollars than at any point since the end of World War II. However, our Army has fewer combat divisions than at any point in that period, our Navy has fewer combat ships and the Air Force has fewer combat aircraft.

It gets worse. According to data collected by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and many others, major categories of military hardware are, on average, aging dramatically. In some cases, our equipment is older than it has ever been. CBO also shows us that the officially approved plan in each of the military services is for this problem to get worse.

It is unfortunate that POGO has no REAL ANSWERS for this "meltdown" beyond their irresponsible claims that those of us who work in the defense industry are all crooks and are responsible for robbing the US tas coffers. Ironically these claims play directly into the hands of the defense companies who are making RECORD PROFITS. I wish I could say the same.

Dear Readers, 11/7/2008

Well, I am trying to allow for respite from my abundance of reply comments on the POGO website, although until there is some reasonable proper and forthright expectation is fullfilled in reference to the much needed and mandated Inalienble Rights by our US Democracy and US Constitution in reference to the FEDERAL EMPLOYEE WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTION RESTORACTION ACT 2008, WPA 2008, which was to my perception overwhelmingly approved as US Senate Bill S1358 in 2003 and was overwhelmingly again brought to the forefront of attention approved in the US Congress as HR985 in at least 2007 and 2008 was overwhelmingly voted to approval unanimously with Presidential Veto proof majority.

Even though I have not fully read and/or I may not be in full agreement or had the necessary communication for implementation with some of POGO's recommendations, I am an advocate of the superb and excellent endeavors and accomplishments that POGO has brought and continues to bring to Public Attention and as a highly distingiushed and respected, successful and innovative leader, especially as one of the first to allow for Blogosphere within this highly successful and commendable innovation of Blogosphere and with ( I presume, due dilligent successful manangement) comment replies from their Advocates and Readers. Please note that from many Websites Articles and News Media hopes and aspirations towards the future with the New Administration that my accomadations would serve to concur with RESTORATION of the hopes and proper and forthright endeavors of our US CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY and especially within the recent century, as applicable. Please further note that in my procrastinating that the HR985 WPA 2008 will immediately be released from subterfuge and brought to the US Senate Floor for a Vote for approval. Also, please further note that in my procrastination that my hopes are that the votes will also be unanmious for approval will also be Presidential veto proof and will at least accomodate the US Constitutional mandates that all past complaints be reviewed for consideration for a proper and forthright accomodation for redemption, resolve and/or as necessary for review and consideration for adjudication and/or within a resolve process. Also and in procrastinating for these many and as soon as possible forthcomming successful accomplishments as mentioned in reply to this POGO Article take place that the Sabersky Plan 'WORKING GROUP' will be the true and correct standard for accomplishing the much needed accomodations as I have described in this/my blog comment reply and in many, as applicable of my previous blog comment replies on POGO, GAP Government Accountability Project and the NWC National Whistleblower Center.
