Following the House hearing last week which further confirmed the lack of professional acumen of U.S. Special Counsel, WhistleblowerSupporter blog is encouraging whistleblowers to write their members of Congress to ask that they get rid of the Office of Special Counsel. They've even provided a draft letter which says:
It would appear there is an extremely poor track record of the OSC and MSPB for about 30 years, and that no reforms or changes made have helped. It does not appear to me at any time, but particularly now, that these organizations should be under the wing of the Executive branch, where they may be easily prevented from accomplishing their intended mission....The funding currently sent to OSC and MSPB should be dedicated to the new Congressional mission of overseeing the process of whistleblower complaints, and seeing that they are handled in an ethical manner. I personally have more faith in Congress right now than the other branches, and feel if there is a problem with someone in Congress not doing their job I would have more ability to address that problem, than I do dealing with trying to change the puppeteer masters, from three steps away, the way it is now.
As POGO testimony pointed out last week, the OSC and MSPB have been torturing whistleblowers for years and three efforts by Congress to reform these institutions have failed. If you are a whistleblower, please write to Congress and tell them what you think.

Dear POGO, July 19, 2007
Dear Ms. Daley,
Please allow me this brief additional note of concern. I had posted a comment reply on the GAP website 'GAP Testifying at House Hearing' in reference to your/POGO and GAP/Mr. Miles recent Testimony within this recent Congressional OSC Hearing. This/my July 12, 2007 repy comment, one hour after my, July 12, 2007 I'M furious....' comment reply has been deleted and after it had been posted for several days. In my lenghty and recent communication with GAP it was mentioned to my understanding that my storey would be reposted. As the reposting has not occurred for whatever reason and that a substantial amount of time has elapsed and the GAP article is now archived, I have several times reponded to this Congressional Committee on their 'Whistleblower Hotline ' website mentioning that they should be in possesion and/or knowledge of this deleted GAP posting from me and in reference to my other requested postings from your/POGO prior blog 'Republican Committee calls on Whistleblowers' and a GAP 'NYT Editorial on WPEA'.
Ms. Daley, again please accept my request that you submit, at again, your descretion any and/or all of my postings as I and this Congressional Commiittee may have continually and consistantly requested and/or suggested even though this Congressional Committee and/or POGO have not more fully responded to me other than my posting requests and posts that where able to be posted and have fortunately remained posted and archived.
Again my thanks to you and all at POGO for your continuing excellent and superb efforts on behalf of all.
Thank you and all for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Axel

The OSC may have been have been a faith based agency before but the OSC has done their job regarding GSA's Doan. Even GSA's head cheerleader Tom Davis is hammering OSC for their report on Doan's Hatch Act violation.

Dear POGO, July 18, 2007
Dear Ms. Daley,
Briefly, I just thought of a suggestion that in my opinion should be given serious and immediate attention from POGO, GAP and the NWC. Should it be within the guidlines as a proper legal procedure, an Amicus Brief should be submitted to the FEDCIR on my behalf from GAP, NWC and POGO to mention the filing is for review and consideration for a Amicus Brief or any other proper legal precedent to be filed for review by the FEDCIR within Rule #48 for a Magistrate to be appointed to Review Sabersky v DOJ #00-3446 and #02-3254 for an Amicus Brief to be filed and/or any other appropriate consideration to be considered for any and all proper resolve(s) for the Sabersky v DOJ #00-3446 and #02-3254. The importance of this request are numerous and including that it would solidify GAP, NWC and POGO timely concern and respect to the proper interpretation of the rule of Law. Please note that we are all aware of our Givernment Legislatures decades of attempts to pass another Whistleblower Legislation Bill that is again apparently again stalled and/or subverted in our Legislative process.
Please take my request seriously, especially as it should provide good and proper support for our Legislatures, especially when they need our best efforts. Please consider to make this attempt that we all as individuals can stand on our own 'Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country'. Also, even though to some extent we seemingly all live in and/or within our Legislatures decisions, although let us show that we have the ability and courage to also stand on our own.
I assume you continue to have my contact information, therfore if I can be of any assistance, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Axel

Dear Ms. Daley, July 17, 2007
I am not sure I understand your article that appears to some extent overly frustrated especially in reference to many of your previous writings and investigation reports. I was impressed with the thorough and complete excellent testimony that you accomadated this Congressional Committee at the recent July 12, 2007 Congressional subcommittee hearing in reference to the OSC and MSPB. I therfore find it somewhat unusual for you to become this frustrated as I am sure you are well aware to a relevant extent as to the many responsibilities and complexities that these OSC and MSPB agencies are obligated to and are created and are also a direct wing of our Congressional Committees.
As you have linked this Blog within the POGO Whistleblower Protection you may be aware of my prior posting on POGO's Republican Committee Calls on Whistleblower's where I mentioned a resolve to my case matter and a working group that may be requested from me and that I would consider to offer the Sabersky Plan should I be requested to do so by the proper court or venue that would accomadate my review. Please note that a POGO representative(s) may easily be requested to accomadate a position within this format of a working group. Therefore, as you where requested to testify and have in my view provided excellent testimony, that therefore your expertise or another POGO individual could easily be requested from this Congressional Committee and/or to participate in a working group.
My opining sentence is probably to harsh and unduley critical within your concerns as any reasonable person would clearly be expected to be exasperated and frustrated with the many and overwhelming shortcommings that have been accorded on behalf of Whistleblowers. As I assume there are no easy answers for resolve, the Sabersky plan may appear to be the most logical and formidable plan for resolve that may be available at this time should the Sabersky case(s) files receive a proper review in a proper venue and/or proper Court of Law. I am writhin to mainly thank you for your excellent review and testimony. There are I imagine a lot of people that are proud of our system of Government and are therfore thankful for you excellent review and testimony within this Congressional Committee.
In closing, I assume we have to continue to hope that the US Senate will not continue to delay and/or subvert this, once again, pending Whistleblower Legislation as it now seems to be stalled once again and without any progress update as to the status of this Whistleblower Legislation in quite some time.
Good luck and best wishes to you and all at POGO within your continuing good work and expertise and investigations on behalf of all.
Thank you and all for your time and consideration.
Sincerely
Axel
