Yet another F-22 pilot has experienced oxygen deprivation -- this time a Hawaii Air National Guard pilot declared an emergency on July 6 before landing safely at Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Of course, this follows the story we reported last week about an F-22 pilot in Virginia having issues.
On Tuesday, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) and Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) renewed their calls for the Air Force to figure out once and for all what gives.

I didn't work in the Oxygen shop, but I have experience tracking problems in the pitot static system, which is pressure and static air. Technicians should be able to troubleshoot the problem. How complex of a system did they make so that it takes this long to not even be able to find the problem? Inject smoke into the system to see where it comes out. A-799 means can not find problem. Our Maintenance Department would not accept 2 of them before the bird was grounded and the problem found and fixed, but then we were NAVY!
