Take a look at the Department of Defense's (DoD) latest motivational poster. In the past, if a company wanted to do business with the DoD, they funded the weapon's development and demonstrated it to officers of the appropriate service, as the Wright Brothers did with the world's first airplane. When the military required weapons that were too expensive for a private company to risk developing and not getting a government contract on, then the appropriate service branch would design and develop those weapons in their own design bureaus.

Today the DoD signs the US taxpayer up to procurement contracts that guarantee contractors we will pay them $1.10 for every $1.00 they spend on development, and then we wonder why development costs have gone so high. Don't you wish someone would offer you a $1.10 on every dollar you could spend on, well, anything? I mean, who would be that stupid, right? Apparently only the US government actually is that stupid, and they are that stupid with your money. Isn't it time you did something about it?

Feel free to use this "poster" to get word out of what's happening here. If more taxpayer's were aware of how their money is being misspent, it would not continue. I got the picture from Wikipedia so it should be public domain. Don't just complain, act!
