A great new resource for keeping tabs on the oil
industry
has just opened up—the University
of Pittsburgh’s Center
for Healthy Environments and Communities (CHEC)
has developed the FracTracker
So far, users have uploaded lists of oil and gas violations, incident records, and mining incidents that occurred in various areas along the reserve. Wouldn't it be great if Interior submitted more information like this to data.gov as it moves forward with its open government initiatives?
