Salazar May Hold Greg Smith and Lucy Denett Accountable

I thought I was being hopelessly optimistic when I posited that Interior Secretary Ken Salazar may reopen investigations of Greg Smith and Lucy Denett, but Gregg Carlstrom at the Federal Times reports that several sources at the department say that's exactly who Salazar has in mind.  So maybe they will both be held accountable for their actions after all.  Let's see how well my messaging works...Dear Secretary Salazar, how about getting rid of RIK next?

On the other side of the coin: former deputy associate director of Minerals Revenue Management (MRM) at the Minerals Management Service (MMS) Milt Dial received the minimum sentence for violating federal conflict of interest rules, and U.S. District Court Judge Robert C. Jones apologized to him for giving him that much.
