Can St. Claire Tie Up SIGTARP's Loose Ends?

Sources tell us that Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) has drafted legislation behind the scenes to give Neil Barofsky, the newly appointed Special Inspector General for the Troubled Assets Relief Program, the statutory authority to quickly build up a staff, which he doesn't currently have.  McCaskill is also said to be working with Senate Finance and Banking Committee leaders to get the legislation moving during the lame duck Congress.

Thank God St. Claire is as much of a good government wonk as POGO is!
