Nick S. Thanks. I have a Typepad blog and know what they have. And, yes, I did inadvertantly check that box. I need to cut this reply short -- to make room for the jerk who is spouting about freedom or religion, or whatever it is.

freedom is not free.

This is what the Bible says about the poor and rich,
https://www.audio-bible.com/bible/luke_6.html
20 ΒΆ And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

No Freedom in America, Thats for Sure

The Rich are sooo Greedy, Especially those who sit on kstreet.
You know, Chinas poulation is around 1.3 Billion people?
Imagine what would happen if you sat them FREE.
America cant even handle its SMALL population of less than 300 million people.
America sure has a lot to LOSE.
America WILL lose everything if people don,t start sharing and helping the underprivlidged.
GREED will be the Fall of Freedom.

HOT! TIP!

Hi.

Nick Schwellenbach

K Street Buddy,

I can't say what Six Apart (the owner of Typepad) will do with IP addresses, if anything. The only thing POGO does with IP addresses is use them to block users who spam POGO's blog or use obscene language. In the latter case, POGO is very lax. We've only blocked two users so far. Also, we don't compile the IP addresses. When we look at a comment through the Typepad interface, we have the option to ban the IP address of the user who left the comment. You can adjust your browser's setting to not accept cookies if you're concerned. You also may have inadvertently checked the "Remember personal info?" box.

K Street Buddy

I notice you now have a cookie that inserts my pogo screen "name." To what extent are you also gathering and retaining IP addresses and other unique identifiers and to what use do you make of them or plan to make of them. Since you are for transparency, I think this question has to be posed. Please respond. Thanks.
